The Summer of War Update released on August 5, 2022. Following rebalances were made in v476—released August 19, 2022. The Summer of War update was a massive update that brought the long awaited Cologne map, and also implemented a plethora of changes from suggestions and bug fixes. The largest change for this update was an overhaul to vehicles; damage done to them and damage they do to players on foot.

Additionally the Kriss Vector was balanced. Both the VEK and SMG had their damage drop increased so that thy would be used closer, and the AK would be used after that. Both used to have a base damage of 59, however following this update the VEK was nerfed to 50, and the SMG was buffed to 63.

Despite the changelogs for v475 mentioning a change to magazine clip sizes, none were actually changed until v476—this was the LMG moving from 20 to 40 rounds. It's possible that the change had been forgotten and was followed up on in the following update.

It is believed that the changes to vehicles was intended to reduce balance issues between people versus vehicles, and segregate the two areas of gameplay to create more focus on vehicle vs vehicle, and person vs person combat.

Changes in the Meta[]

Perhaps the clearest change was that RPG no longer destroyed most vehicles in one hit. Jets no longer had the weakest armour value, instead taking the same damage as the heli for all weapons.

*Homing's true DPS does not account for time a player may spend locking onto a target. DPS will lower if a player locks on each time, but will maintain the value given if a lock is held at all times.

Note: Pure DPS relates to just the DPS a weapon can output; True DPS relates to actual DPS once accounting for reload times (how a weapon will truly perform in the field).
