Pacific is an island town built right off the coast of a dormant volcano. it has a semi-symmetrical shape with ports, houses, shops, and silos on either side. There is a zig-zag road that cuts directly through the middle and into either teams' spawn areas. There is a much longer and rectangular road that loops around the entire map and connects to either sides' grid-like shopping areas. In front of the shops, and across a canal, are the residential areas, which are placed in a grassy terrain. The middle portion houses miscellaneous silos, smoke towers, shipping containers, various businesses, and a large hangar. Adjacent to spawn is a large shipping/docking area, filled with cargo boats, shipping crates, and warehouses.

Strategies[]

The map is primarily short to medium ranged combat, which is especially apparent in the suburbs/silos area. The SMG and other close-ranged weapons are ideal in these parts. However, there are many props that can be used for long-ranged attacks, such as the red and white smokestacks, the top of silos, and shipping cranes. Players can also travel onto the volcanic island and attack from there, but this tactic is more of a novelty due to the extreme range and poor sightline coverage.

Trivia[]

  • Pacific bears a striking resemblance to the map Flooded, and may possibly be a pre-disaster variant.
  • In Battle Royale's early stages, Pacific was used as a filler map.
  • There a few Easter Eggs on this map. One being a movie theater with a movie title starring two of the game developers “Rocky X: Rocky vs Silk”. Another Easter Egg is the Curl Up and Dye salon, which frequents city setting maps. A JoJa’s Pizza is also on this map. A roadsigns also displays names of other city locations like Del Gato. There is a crashed car with a Crash Test Dummy hanging out of the windshield.
