"...this is my weapon. She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon...for twelve seconds."
- TF2 Heavy
The Minigun is a fast firing anti-vehicle weapon. It is mostly used by experienced players on vehicles, but sometimes, guests and new players use it against enemy players. It is also the rarest gun in Battle Royale (most players have never seen one in Battle Royale), spawning in only a few designated areas. For now, it has been sighted at the Radio Tower near Del Gato (it may spawn in Del Gato itself), the abandoned Train near the Training Grounds, and sometimes in the Downed Helicopter near the Train Station and even at the Reactor. It is much more common in Dead End City, however, and can be found by searching Weapon Crates.

The Minigun model.
Design[]
It is most likely modelled after the handheld M134 Gatling Gun with six long rotary barrels. It has a chainsaw grip attached to its forend and a small body consisting of a motor (to spin the barrels) and large drum magazine (with a chain of bullets feeding into the gun body). At its rear end, it has a grip with a large red button serving as a trigger.
If you listen closely while firing, you can hear the barrels spinning.
Performance[]
The Minigun can hold 100 rounds and fires them at an astonishingly fast rate. However, it inhibits the mobility of the player and makes running, jumping, and basically any agile movement difficult. It has a painfully long reload time, along with high recoil that makes it an ineffective gun against enemy personnel, despite taking off 50 health points per round.
However, it works great as an anti-vehicle weapon, and is most used against fast-moving vehicles like Helicopters and Jets, making it a strong anti-aircraft weapon. It does 10 (or even more) damage points to all vehicles per shot, and that, combined with the fast fire rate and high capacity, makes it a formidable foe against all vehicles. The Minigun can also be extremely effective against infantry once a player learns to control its high recoil and high fire rate by firing it in bursts.

Trivia[]
- When the minigun is equipped in the second slot of the player inventory, it can be seen being carried on the player's back.
- Loud explosions of the bullets hitting the vehicle and bright orange sparks can be seen as the weapon is being fired at vehicles.
- A lag glitch may cause the Minigun to fire in 3 round burst despite it being set to full-auto.
