The Jester is one of the fiercest outfits in all of War Brokers history. Based on court jesters—also known as jokers (such as in a deck of playing cards) and 'the fool'—the outfit borrows upon the stereotypical visage of a jester through the implementation of the Cap and Bells (fool's cap) and a motley patterned garb.
History of Sale[]
It was originally available during the April Fool's Day 2019 (Medieval Times) event for free with play. It was later seen with a second appearance in the COVID-19 Awareness event with the release of Kitchen for April Fool's Day 2020, this time not as a free reward but as a purchase for 1100 coins; the extension for the slippers was not included.
The last time the outfit was seen was late-October of 2020 for 800 coins. This time it was sold additionally without the head, only giving players the hood and skin.
The Hood's Development[]
The Jester hood used to be more of a mask, with the face baked into the hood itself. The developer Silk Spider later separated the hood portion to allow players to use any head of their choosing with the front of the hood now being a hole. He then added a new head that would function as the replacement for the now missing face in the hood. This head took inspiration from the Joker from the DC universe. Code was implemented to update the inventory of players who owned the Jester to automatically assign the head to them retroactively.
Currently the hood will bug out a player and make their head display as the default head in the overworld, despite displaying correctly in the avatar menu.

- The Jester hood was in the game a year earlier in 2018 as a developer exclusive item, remaining exclusive until its public release in April of 2019
- The Jester's purple outfit was originally more of a pink and had a much more basic design
- Within the first week of the April Fool's 2019 event, developer Silk Spider joked about annoying people with a changed color palette to the Jester
- After his surprise to the support for the pink, he decided to keep the redesign to the outfit close to the original

The original hood icon
- The Jester is the signature outfit of the developer Ponzi Inc. (aka MJD)—originally as just the hood and then the full outfit once added
- Developer Silk Spider secretly added a joke head to the game when adding the Jester in 2019—it was a prank on the developer Joja15 since the Jester had no head at the time
