Heist is a map that was added to the game during The 2020 Heist Event and is set around a bank.
Layout[]
The bank has several rooms inside. In the basement, there is a group of tunnels and sewers that connect a robber base with the bank vault, a parking zone, and a file room. Also, the parking zone connects to the outside. On the first floor, you will find a large reception room with flags, ATMs, a metal detector, a meeting room, and a jewelry store. Behind there is a staircase that leads to the second floor. The rest of the first floor has more offices and restrooms. On the second floor, you will find more offices, and security area, and a balcony from which you can see the entire reception area. Outside the bank, you will find wandering stalls, a playground, trucks, cranes, and more buildings all of which are surrounded by a great wall. Each team spawns with an APC LVL 2 and a Tank LVL 2.
It is important to note that what appears to be the front entrance of the bank is on the "side" of the map. The two spawn points flank the building.
Strategies[]
Inside the bank, CQC is commonplace with shotguns and SMGs dominating the fight. Outside, expect fights to take place at mid-range combat. Still, due to the design of the map, CQB is a frequent occurrence regardless of your location. Therefore, it is recommended to have a versatile loadout that can handle gunfights at all ranges.
Oftentimes both teams, especially the one from the construction area, will attempt to occupy the roof of the bank as it provides a clear view of the enemy spawn and offers decent protection against incoming fire. Be sure to stay away from the windows when on the roof as people inside the bank can hit you from ground level. The cranes on either side of the map also provide good vantage points, both of which can be occupied easily by their respective teams. When dealing with enemies on the cranes a long-range weapon, like the Sniper Rifle, may be handy; an air strike or a BGM will also suffice. Other vantage points may include the buildings in and around the spawns.
One team appears outside and another near or in a tunnel. Spawn camping is prevalent on this map so expect to see enemies on the roof of the bank or in your spawn. Therefore, constant vigilance is advised when playing on this map. Since the map uses automatic spawning as opposed to manual spawning, you cannot select your deployment zone as opposed to other maps such as Southwest or Pacific, and parachuting is disabled due to the small size of the map.
In the map some may use the minigun as it is a good weapon for close combat.
Bugs[]
- Back in 12/21/20, you were able to escape the map by using the cranes or parkour your way out on the buildings.
