Glowing Eyes are a series of cosmetics with a dynamic effect . They are the one of the most-popular and most–sought-after items in the game. Being the first dynamic cosmetic in the game with multiple color variations to collect, these rare cosmetics have gotten the attention of many players to try collecting for a high price or difficult reward during events.

There are 10 colors of the eyes in total. Only eight of them are legally obtainable. Their rarity in order is roughly as follows:

  1. Green (unobtainable)
  2. Pink (rare drop from special crate)
  3. Dark Blue and Purple
  4. Black
  5. White and Yellow
  6. Orange (Steam exclusive)*
  7. Red
  8. Cyan

*While Orange Glowing Eyes used to be a Steam exclusive to old events, there was an issue with recent events that has allowed users to unbox them in special crates and is obtained irrespective of Steam ownership status. This has made them considerably more common than they ought to be and is difficult to gauge exactly how widespread the ownership of them are. They are easily one of the current most-common colors (as of Nov 2023).

If sold, they are only ever available directly for 1000 (gen 3), or as part of a Heroic outfit (gen2). User may be lucky enough to get them through special crates. While the frequency of sales may influence how common some colors are compared to others, there are a few varieties which naturally sit atop the others. Green cannot be obtained by the public, making them the rarest overall, while Pink are never sold and available solely through a rare chance in special crates. On top of that, the chance of getting Pink as opposed to other colors is low.

Orange would naturally follow as an exclusive to win conditions in old events for Steam users only; being deprecated and effectively unobtainable would mean their numbers would dwindle over time. Unfortunately a bug allowing any user to randomly unbox them has led to a great inflation of them, with the difficulty in obtaining them appearing to be rather low. While not normally obtainable through "legal" means, this makes Orange a ninth obtainable color through unintended means.

Green[]

Green Glowing Eyes
Staff

Cost Unobtainable

The first color of glowing eyes to be added to the game. This cosmetic is exclusively given to the War Brokers developers and moderators as a “thank you” for all their hard work. Only those who have worked as staff for the game (current or previous) have this cosmetic. Due to this limited access, green eyes are one of rarest cosmetic items in the game.

There used to be common misconception that these eyes could be equipped with any character no matter what and overlap other glowing eyes; however, they are just like other colors. This misconception may have started by people seeing them mixed with red eyes.

Cyan[]

Cyan Glowing Eyes
Heroic

The "original" glowing eyes experience
Cost 600

The second color of glowing eyes added to the game; the set to first be introduced to the public. They were originally released for purchase during the 2018 winter event. They would later become a staple of the Mummy outfit originally sold in the Halloween ZBR 2019 for 2000 . Following the market rebalance that took place at the start of 2021, the second generation of the market would place the outfit at 1200 with the eyes themselves now being valued as 600 . Some players had come to know this set as "blue eyes", at least until the introduction of dark blue.

This set of eyes also would later return as a reward for winning a round of ZDC in Halloween 2023.

The multitude of releases the eyes have received with plenty of affordable options have resulted in this color being the most-common.

The rarest eyes players can hunt
Cost Special Crate

Following directly from 2018's winter event, the Valentine's and Year of the Pig event in early February of 2019 brought a new color of glowing eyes for purchase. Information has been lost to time and it is unclear exactly what its cost was. It is believed to have been between $1.99 and $3.99 USD.

These eyes have never been made re-available via sales. There was discussion about the possibility of their return with the Cherub Champ outfit as a triggered outfit series, but this has not come to fruition. These eyes are only possible to earn through Special Crates.

This is the rarest set of glowing eyes, and the rarest public and released cosmetic.

Red[]

Red Glowing Eyes

Cosmetics (×2)

The Storm Area 15 event in September of 2019 brought the third public set of glowing eyes to the game. This set was very special because it wasn't one cosmetic that applied the effect. Two separate cosmetics for the left or right eye were provided as part of the Cyborg outfit. This separation of the eyes was made because of the split face of the outfit: human flesh versus that of the cyborg metallic exoskeleton.

This set of eyes can be combined with any other color since they are not the same cosmetic type. This has made them some of the most versatile and popular eyes for players to hunt for their collections.

In the second generation of the market, Crackdown - Red (the nutcracker) would also receive these eyes as a bundle.

Orange[]

Orange Glowing Eyes
Steam LIMITED

Cost ZBR reward

A bug in the game has allowed many users to obtain this item regardless of their Steam status as a low-rarity unbox from bugged crates.

Orange Glowing Eyes are the "standard" glowing eyes that were introduced as a cosmetic monsters will wear in ZBR and ZDC. From 2019 to Easter of 2021, Steam players could earn this set from a victory in one of these events.

Due to its limited nature, these eyes used to be rarer than most colors. This was mostly due to the number of resales that other colors had, the ability for a quick purchase as opposed to surviving a challenge, and the requirement of owning the Steam version. It was also a restricted cosmetic from the Special Crate, leading to it being unobtainable to new players and a color missing from many collections.

In a bugged crate in Halloween of 2022, a few users reported being able to unbox Steam cosmetics. This included the Orange Glowing Eyes. The year following for Halloween of 2023 there was a return to these crates with a high number of users specifically obtaining the Orange Glowing Eyes. This unfortunately included non-Steam players and has led to this Steam cosmetic to be "tainted" and realistically no longer an exclusive; even if still an exclusive in design. There were also unconfirmed reports that players got the eyes for free within the first moments of the event as an accident by the devs.

Yellow[]

Yellow Glowing Eyes
Heroic

Cost 1000

In Halloween of 2021, yellow eyes were the first eyes, alongside white, to be added to the spectrum of options since 2019. They were the first set to ever be associated with more than one outfit: originally releasing for The Butcher (Triggered) for 1,100 in Halloween 2021 and followed up with Egg Splode (Triggered) for 1,200 in Easter 2022.

These outfits would sell fairly often, even outside of event periods. This has led to these being fairly common among collections.

Black[]

Black Glowing Eyes
Heroic

Cost 1000

While added into the game alongside yellow and white eyes, these black eyes did not actually release until February 23, 2022 in the Gingerbread Man - Overcooked (Triggered) skin bundle for 1000 as a late Christmas extra.

In the gap between its addition to the game and its release, a select few players obtained this set through the Christmas ZDC 2021 event via special crates.

It was later alternatively introduced into the Ransack outfit November 29, 2022 for 1350 . Both outfits have not sold as often as other outfits bundled with eyes. This set of eyes are moderately rare compared to other sets.

White[]

White Glowing Eyes
Heroic

Cost 1000

In Halloween of 2021, white eyes were the first eyes, alongside yellow, to be added to the spectrum of options since 2019. This set of eyes was originally released for Sacked (Triggered) for 1200 in Halloween 2021.

They would later be introduced to an alternative outfit via Plunder (Triggered) November 29, 2022 for 1350 .

Between these two outfits, the eyes have shown to be fairly common among collections.

Purple[]

Purple Glowing Eyes
Heroic

Cost 1000

Purple eyes were introduced into the game in v478 (Halloween 2022 event) and fully implemented by v481 (Oct 28, 2022) but were not given a release until November 23, 2022 where they would sell in an alternate style of the Sacked (Triggered) outfit for 1200 . As some players had already purchased white eyes through this outfit previously, the discount would bring this purchase to 600 for these players.

While they would show to be the new color for Sacked for a few sales, the outfit would ultimately swap back to its original white eyes.

This is one of the rarest colors of eyes.

Dark Blue[]

Dark Blue Glowing Eyes
Heroic

Cost 1000
Release Nov 2022

They were introduced into the game in v478 (Halloween 2022 event, and fully implemented by v481 (Oct 28, 2022) but were not given a release until November 23, 2022 where they would sell in an alternate style of the Siib Agent (Triggered) outfit for 1200 . Players who had bought the popular outfit prior would find the discounted price for just the eyes being 600 .

These eyes were initially available unintentionally via the special event crate drops. This was later patched out after it was discovered players were able to unbox them (albeit with high luck). During this initial early ownership, the cosmetic did not have a thumbnail icon yet and could overlap other colors similar to red eyes as they did not count as the same face overlay slot. Red eyes could still be equipped as well, leading to the potential for three color eye combinations with dark blue, red eyes, and any other color.

The ability to stack the eyes was patched out in v481 as it got fully implemented into the game; however existing stacks are not removed retroactively, allowing any of the few players who did own these to have had the possibility of keeping a stacked color they had saved prior to v481. This makes the color combinations with dark blue eyes (except the standard red eyes combination normally available) the rarest color combinations possible. These pre-existing stacks have the option of adding or removing red eyes while being able to maintain the stack.

The Siib Agent (Triggered) outfit did not see resales.

This is one of the rarest colors of eyes, being ever so slightly rarer than purple eyes.
