Giant Bunny Royale is a Battle Royale limited time event. It is the second spin-off of the PvE Zombie Royale, after Holiday Royale. It was first introduced in the Easter Event 2020, and reappeared in Easter the following year.
Game Mechanics[]
The basic gameplay is identical to Zombie Royale. Giant Bunny Royale 2021, however, had some very significant differences from the previous Zombie Royales:
- PvP is disabled. Players cannot harm other players with their weapons. Shots will be blocked and the animiation will play, but no damage is done. At the beginning of a game, the message "Work together with other players to defeat the zombies" is displayed.
- Zombie counts is increased accordingly to well over 200 in a game.
- Enemies evidently spawn in the course of the game. They can appear in mid-air at an altitude of roughly two player characters' height and charge at a player from where him or her has just marked clear although it seems that they cannot spawn in spaces too confined. The frequency of it happening increases as the game progress, until the last Zone.
Enemies[]
The latest (2021) Giant Bunny Royale included:
- Zombies: melee enemies that constitute the majority of enemy force. They wear Bunny Ears and do not have orange glowing eyes. They bounce when travelling, to a height about double that a player can jump.
- Yetis - melee enemies with high movement speed.
- Yellow Chickens - suicidal bombers that detonate at player's proximity, more prone to detonation than Nutcrackers in Holiday Royale.
- Easter Bunnies - ranged enemies that also forage. they carry a pistol while travelling, then switch to an RPG to attack. When killed, they drop loot, which are possibly what they have foraged.
- Giant Easter Bunny - a Boss with 60,000+ health (depending on player count) and appears at the 5th to last circle. It carries a rifle and has the special ability to call airstrikes with its Walkie Talkie and summon zombies with Smoke Grenades.
Strategy[]

The Giant Easter Bunny
Many of the strategies found in Zombie Royale can also be applied to Giant Bunny Royale. And as in Holiday Royale, the RPG-carrying Easter Bunnies should be dispatched as soon as possible.
Against the spawning enemies, players should keep a high alert after the third Zone is announced. When possible, form a tight formation with fellow humans or take refuge in a small indoor lookouts so you may fire without the need of worrying flanking or spawning zombies. For example one may hide in a motel apartment in the Rest Stop and shoot at the zombies outside; the zombies will not be able to bounce through its window and neither will it spawn behind you. Support other players that stay outside as they attract and kill zombies.
In the latest Bunny Royale, melee enemies will shove players in smoke out of their healing position but will not attack them. This can be utilized to kill a large number of zombies in relative safety: after throwing one or two Smoke Grenades, players can lure some half a dozen of zombies into the smoke with them, where the player may switch to a powerful short range weapon such as a VSS to destroy all those zombies. The zombies' shoving nature will bring them close enough to be seen through the smoke from time to time. When done, the player can create another island of smoke and repeat process. This tactics works less well on hillsides because the Smoke Grenades will roll downhills and take a lot of time to start producing smoke, so, in hilly areas, one may wish to adapt the counterintuitive strategy of occupying the basins instead of the heights for the sake of Smoke Grenade performance. In fact, the bouncing nature of the Easter Zombies somewhat favors staying downhill instead of uphill.

Team strategy is especially useful against the final boss. Because it has an rifle and such high health, you want multiple people shooting it so that it will become confused and not shoot anyone. If you are by yourself, make sure to move a lot and kill regular zombies before the final zombie comes. Beware of incoming airstrike when it switches to its Walkie Talkie. Although it is less powerful than the classic airstrike and the bombs take longer to land (so you have more time to dodge), it is nonetheless deadly against careless players. Be equally cautious for the zombies it summons around you when it is fighting and dying.
