The Dead End City map was added with the (then) new Death Match Royale mode on 10/23/2020.
Overview[]
The map made use of procedural generation in its generation. This was done in 100mx100m block increments and greatly reduced the amount of time needed to make the map. Originally intended as an alternate Battle Royale map, the map ended up taking up a different role with the twist on Battle Royale and Competitive modes—Death Match Royale, also known as Survival.

Early state of the map—item spawns can be seen spread around
While not as large as the Battle Royale map, this map has more detail in it. This extra density is thanks to its generation. This does however mean that there isn't much in terms of large open plains or mountainous heights (though not in the theme for a cityscape) for extra variety.
The entire map is encaged within a large set of walls like those seen in Heist and Escape. There is a large body of water along the left side of the map which cuts into the middle of the map halfway. This cut splits the map into two general halves—an upper and lower half. Players may go around the far right to traverse the gap, or they may take a long bridge that runs along the left side of the map. If a player is feeling lucky, they may take a series of jumps across wrecked ships that run diagonal across the water. This gives players a variety of options to make their way between the two general halves without the need to be bottlenecked or slowly wade through a large portion of water.
The map has four noticeable area types: city, port, residential streets, park space. The map can be broken down into parts that match these distinct area types.
