Cosmetics are an optional feature of the game that allow the player to create more of a unique and custom character in the game. They are made up of multiple parts and may even be paired alongside others in outfits sold in the shop.

A rarity system exists for cosmetics sold in the shop. These rarities were introduced for the second generation in the market rebalance in December, 2021. This system has been shelved in the third market generation due to losing the dedicated developer for the shop. Only cosmetics sold during the second generation have a shop rarity, otherwise there is no official rarity; however there may be fan-assigned ones like "Unreleased" and "Event" when distinguishing cosmetics. Higher rarity typically meant higher price and less sale periods. A higher rarity may also apply to more complex/limited cosmetics, like how the Cyborg Biker was sold without Red Glowing Eyes for 400 coins as a Legendary, despite many Epic outfits selling for more.

Rare Epic Legendary HeroicCreator

Separate from "rarity" tropes and more of a category, the creator rarity defines fan-made cosmetics in the creator series and may effectively act as any of the above shop rarities.

Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tier 5 Tier 6

Note that these are not official names, but terms to help understand the rarities from most common to rarest.

No Rarity — Unspecified and to be announced; new generational content that lacks a rarity from Gen 2

Unrestricted Rarities (available at any time so long as you meet requirements):
Default — Players start with these cosmetics
Mission — Obtained via the crates from missions
Milestone — Rewards for reaching high levels
Event — Only obtained during events (e.g. you can only earn Santa at Christmas)

Semi-Restricted Rarities (not available generally, however there are means like special crates that grant access to them):
Steam — Rewards default to or exclusive to Steam players; counts as a special cosmetic and not in special crates
LIMITED — Only made available in an old event (e.g. New Years Headbands only sell once)
Legacy — Old cosmetics that got cut from or forgotten from resales of bundles, or have not been available sold since market rebalance (not to be confused with Limited)
Unreleased — Unreleased and normally unobtainable; yet to release or cut content that partially released as a reward from special crates
Gift — Given to a player through special means (such as the Wiki Katana); includes special cosmetics not in special crates

Restricted Rarities (not available to public):
Staff — Staff-exclusive cosmetics (mods/devs); counts as a special cosmetic and not in special crates, making them unobtainable to the regular player
UNOBTAINABLE — Unreleased (unless otherwise specified) and 100% unobtainable (not even from special crates); assume we will never see them obtainable

If left undefined, such as something only available through a bundle and unclear on individual value, it shall be left blank: ???

Pricing[]

Prices are differentiated by old and new coin values (revolving around the 2021 market rebalance):

  • Current price; post–market rebalance
  • Legacy price; pre–market rebalance

Some cosmetics have not been sold since the market rebalance, holding only a legacy price. Of the cosmetics to return or be introduced since the change, their prices are each adjusted to match with a set of pricing rules. This was the introduction of shop rarities. The pricing per rarity is as follows:

Creator

  • A sub-rarity. Prices may match the pricing of any rarity. These cosmetics are fan-made additions that pay the creator a small percentage of coins spent on their cosmetic(s).

Rare

Epic

Legendary

Heroic

Cosmetic Types[]

Heads change the look of a player's face and hair
Skins are applied to the torso, arms, and legs of a player
Items are accessories that adorn the player
Emblems and Flags work in tandem with some accessories to display on a player, but may also show on vehicles and change the appearance of parachutes
Weapon Skins change the appearance of weapons
Emotes allow players to wave, salute, taunt, or dance battle with one another
Vehicle Cosmetics change the appearance of vehicles.

Other than individual cosmetic options:[]

Outfits are cosmetic packs. They are a sold bundle, or a collection of earned cosmetics that make up an entire preset costume/character.

Other related aspects to cosmetics:[]

Dynamic Cosmetics are cosmetics that have some kind of animation to them. This is normally present as a glow.
Crates provide some cosmetics. These can be obtained through that are earned via missions or events.
Fan Made cosmetics. A contribution from the community to expand the content of the game.
Unreleased cosmetics, either because they were cut or are just upcoming.
Legacy cosmetics. Old cosmetics from the dawn of War Brokers that were given a release or two and have since been long since forgotten.

Rarest Cosmetics[]

Anything of a high restriction (generally Gift Staff and UNOBTAINABLE ) will not be counted due to their obvious dominance of the rarest cosmetics. This list will go over what is believed to be the top 10 rarest cosmetics that have been available to the public at some point in time. This means cosmetics like the Wiki Katana and Green Glowing eyes—as popular restricted cosmetics that are extremely rare—are not in this list.

Note that this should not be taken as fact. This is a estimation made from popular demand for an idea on the rarest cosmetics in the game.
