Some cosmetics in the game are old cosmetics that were deprecated (legacy items like the Flag Parachute) or simply long forgotten. They are normally unobtainable, similar to unreleased cosmetics, but unlike unreleased cosmetics have actually been released in the past. These cosmetics are of high rarity due to their scarcity.
Forsaken cosmetics should not be confused with cosmetics intended to be available for a limited period for events and holidays, such as the New Years Headbands that are given new versions each year while leaving previous years unsold ever again. It can be argued that some of these limited cosmetics are forsaken.
A cosmetic is forsaken when it has been given an appropriate release and has then been forgotten, or simply not released yet. Cosmetics from very early in War Brokers' life, and cosmetics from outfits that on resales were left out.
The Navy Uniform and the Soviet Officer Uniform has seen a resale in the new shop cycle as of 2024.
